Frequently Asked Questions

General

What is RenderBob?

A local studio we're building for generative creators. Open image and video models on your machine, characters and looks that can travel across shots, and cloud GPUs when local hardware is not enough.

Do I need to learn ComfyUI?

No. Comfy-class power is under the hood. You can bring a workflow later; you do not have to operate the graph to start.

Who is it for?

Creators and small teams who already use models for video and images, and want a studio instead of a node graph or a rental farm.

Which models and tools are supported?

RenderBob runs open image and video models locally. Comfy-class graphs stay under the hood and stay portable when a job moves to cloud GPUs. You do not have to operate a node graph to start.

Pricing

Is the cloud free?

No. Local is free. Cloud GPU time, larger models, faster gens, and fine-tunes are paid. See Pricing for current GPU rates.

When is cloud cheaper than buying another GPU?

Use local for daily experiments. Use cloud when a run needs more VRAM, a bigger model, a batch your tower cannot finish, or a fine-tune. If you only generate occasionally, local plus occasional burst is usually cheaper than buying a new card.

Can I cancel?

The local app has nothing to cancel. Cloud GPU time is metered. Team burst work is scoped up front and does not auto-renew.

Security & storage

Are my files secure?

Yes, when the provider’s controls match your risk. RenderBob transfers files with TLS in transit and stores them encrypted at rest. We are an EU company (TraynMe OÜ, Estonia), and EU data-protection rules apply. In normal service, no one at RenderBob reviews your user files. Your projects and outputs stay in your account until you delete them.

How long can I keep my files within RenderBob?

As long as you need to. You can always delete them forever.

Who has access to my projects?

Only you. No human at RenderBob reviews your files in normal service.

Local and cloud

When do I use the cloud?

When a run needs more VRAM, a bigger model, a batch that would melt your tower, or a fine-tune.

Will cloud output match what I see locally?

Cloud burst is built to match a local reference you already trust. We pin models and versions so the look can leave your machine. Exact bit-for-bit identity depends on the model and GPU class; we validate against your reference before a production batch.

What happens if a cloud run fails?

If a cloud run fails on our side, you are not charged for that failed run. Successful outputs stay in your project. If the problem is in the workflow or a missing asset, we help you pin it and retry.

Do I need a specific app version?

RenderBob 3 is a local generative app, not a Blender version locker. Model and runtime versions are pinned per workflow so local and cloud stay aligned.
